Finished projects

One quick project, and one not-so-quick project:
The knitted top (free pattern, although the one I used up until the yoke was a different version) was cast on when Wes & I went to Loxton at the end of July last year and finished in mid-March. I didn't touch it for about 4 months towards the end of the year due to travelling and also being a bit scared of the colourwork, but it was so easy! Happily, it actually fits me perfectly and has survived a wash without bleeding, shrinking or stretching :)
The bag I kind of made up as I went along and while the proportions are not perfect, it worked out pretty well considering I started at about 10:30pm last night when I was already so tired (but keeping Wes company as he worked on an assignment). The only issues I had were with the drawstring casing, which I made too long (twice) so had to unpick and re-sew a couple of times, and then stitched one side on to the top of the bag upside down, and then back to front. Goes to show things probably run smoother when you're not tired.
It's to keep my current knitting project in, slung over my shoulder as I knit on the go. You can spy the start of my next project inside. I'm using wool that Petri brought me, from Finland.
I also sewed French seams for the first time too - very neat!
